You'll notice that some of our fragrances are described as "inspired by" a designer scent — for example, Fading Hope Inspired by Soie Malaquais or Content Inspired by Mr Thompson by Penhaligon's.

"Inspired by" fragrances are original compositions crafted to evoke the spirit, character, and scent profile of a beloved designer fragrance. They are not copies, counterfeits, or diluted versions. They are independently formulated perfumes that capture a similar olfactory experience — often using high-quality fragrance oils — at a fraction of the designer price.

Think of it like a chef who creates their own version of a classic dish: inspired by the original, but made with their own craft and ingredients. Our inspired-by fragrances stand on their own merit — and many of our customers tell us they prefer them.
